Bolarum is a suburb of Hyderabad. A part of it is under Ranga Reddy District, while the other lies under Hyderabad District. The area has several sub-localities such as Risala Bazaar, Doveton Bazaar, Pioneer Bazaar, Macha Bolarum, Burton Guda, Chintal Bazaar and Kalasiguda. Bolarum is known for several landmarks such as the Ayyappa Temple, St Anns Provincilate and Officer’s Mess.

The Secunderabad Central Railway Station is around 10 kilometres from here, while the Begumpet Airport is 12 kilometres. New International Airport is around 41 kilometres in Shamshabad. The MMTS or Multimodal Transport System, Hyderabad’s light railway transportation system, is slated to be introduced to the area. The TSRTC operates buses through the area, connecting it to different parts of the city. It is the most preferred mode of transport in the area.

Bolarum real estate is quite popular among home buyers for its proximity to areas like Dammaiguda, Bowenpally, Alwal, Kompally, Thumkunta and Moula Ali. There are developers working on property in Bolarum such as Laxmi Infratech and Landmark Builders. The area mostly has villas for sale which measure between 1,555 and 1,800 sq ft and is of 3BHK configuration. Some of the projects are Laxmi Infratech’s GVMR Crown Imperial and Landmark Builders’ Stepping Meadows. The latter has 58 units available. Bolarum property has one under- construction project.

The area has several educational institutes such as St Ann’s Girl School, Valerian Grammar School, Model Mission High School, Holy Angels High School and Navabharathi College of PG Studies. The area is also known for the vegetable market, Macha Bolarum which is near to the Railway Station. The Sadaar Bazaar is known for the money lending shops, jewellery and textile shops.
